Class Description
The purpose of this class is to provide departmental leadership and direction consistent with the strategic vision of assigned division and the mission of the College. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, public policy or a related field and five years of experience in grant management. Master’s degree preferred.
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Provide direct supervision and evaluation to assigned staff.
- Develop and manage operating budget for assigned unit college-wide, as required.
- Hire, supervise, advise, and evaluate assigned staff.
- Establish goals and objectives for operations consistent with CCBC’s mission.
Position Specific Essential Duties
- Administer and manage the college-wide Office of Grants Development.
- Collaborate with the CFR Director on integrating public and private grants policies, procedures, tracking, and program alignment to maximize efficiencies and results.
- Collaborate with the CFR Director on integrating public and private grant proposal content, building synergy of funding support and coordinated plans for college initiatives.
- Ensure that college-wide grants development plans align with CCBC’s strategic priorities.
- Facilitate and oversee the development of grant proposals by faculty and staff through effective project design.
- Direct the development and submission of grant proposals college-wide, ensuring quality control and compliance.
- Oversee the compliance of public and private grants Maintain contact with external network and funding agencies at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Direct college and campus work with internal and external groups to promote college-wide and campus grant projects.
- Market the funding needs of the college to potential partners and funders.
- Oversee the dissemination of information about funding sources and opportunities to faculty and staff college-wide.
- Facilitate and over see an effective grants management process.
- Ensure that college-awarded grants are effectively implemented through the effective use of project management tools.
- Ensure that college-awarded public grants are reported upon in a timely manner.
- Oversee training and implementation processes for effective grants implementation, management, and closure.
- Ensure coordination between Office of Grants Development and Office of Budget and Finance to eliminate duplication of services relative to grants administration.
