The Program Resource Specialist (PRS) supports initiatives for the Workforce Acceleration Initiative (WAI) that ensure ongoing resource management and staffing support for the program’s priorities. Under the guidance of the Program Resource Manager (PRM), the PRS is responsible for activities related to effective workforce planning and staff acquisition; deploying strategies to track, monitor and improve recruiting and onboarding operations and staff satisfaction and engagement; and providing ongoing support to WAI staff.
This position is based in Atlanta, GA and relocation expenses are not provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support management of the WAI programs resource needs to ensure operational efficiency, a well-resourced program and a positive team culture that aligns with program priorities and organizational values.
- Develops mechanisms and systems for forecasting, tracking and monitoring WAI program recruitment, retention, turnover and staff pipeline.
- Supports – in collaboration with program leadership and hiring managers – talent acquisition and management operations, focused on recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, engagement and off-boarding of WAI program staff.
- Works with program leadership to identify and address ongoing vacancies.
- Develops and refines position descriptions and SOPs around staff onboarding, engagement and off-boarding.
- Meets with and regularly engages with WAI staff to ensure ongoing engagement, retention and job satisfaction of the program workforce.
- Ensures systematic and standardized use of efficient databases and tracking systems to lead and facilitate monitoring, accountability and decision-making.
- Liaises with other CDC Foundation departments as the department-level representative for recruiting, staff engagement and HR matters for the WAI program.
- Serves as a program-level resource and subject matter expert on relevant applicant tracking systems (ATS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Participates in and/or leads special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Necessary Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required with a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience required and focus on business administration, human resources, or corporate communications preferred.
- Experience leading and supporting targeted resource acquisition, including but not limited to developing effective position descriptions and recruitment strategies, including, resume review, conducting virtual and in person screenings and interviews, recruitment coordination and offer negotiation.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards and tracking mechanisms for recruiting and onboarding operations.
- Experience monitoring and implementing strategies to ensure effectiveness of talent acquisition and employee satisfaction.
- Highly detail oriented, works well within a diverse team, able to manage across different levels of an organization, demonstrates a high degree of initiative and flexibility, communicates effectively in a positive and professional manner, able to prioritize activities when under tight deadlines and possesses analytical skills.
- Strong technical skills including word processing, spreadsheet development and management and database management.
- Experience with ATS, ERP systems and software packages used to manage day-to-day business activities such as talent management, relationship management, procurement and/or project management. Experience with Lever and/or Smartsheet preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills; collegial; energetic; and able to develop productive relationships with colleagues and partners.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
