Ignite Digital Services has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that is a motivated self-starter with superior listening, effective communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be technical minded with a strong background in supporting projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and various stakeholders. This role is for an experienced analyst to support our Navy client with development of data workflows and extraction of critical business information to aid in stakeholder decision making and support scaling of enterprise request fulfillment processes.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business user requirements and design effective reporting solutions
- Research and recommend innovative approaches and best practices and standards within dashboard development and BI reporting
- Respond to quick-turn-around requests for data and information
- Work to resolve issues independently or escalate as appropriate
- Perform ad-hoc queries in a variety of systems and tools including Informatica PowerCenter and Dataverse utilizing SQL and/or data APIs from source systems
- Create requirements and analysis to drive development of data & integration APIs with other systems
- Deploy automated solutions to support team and organization process efficiencies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related degree
- 3+ years of work experience as a data analyst or related field
- Experience designing and building complex datasets via SQL queries and JSON/XML parsing to support reports and dashboards
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn new skillsets and software/platforms to solve challenging problems
- Proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., functions, pivots, macros); experience with Power Query and/or Power Pivot
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DoD / DoN data environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps)
- Expertise in developing solutions with Azure cloud services and capabilities
- Experience working in Agile teams as part of an organization practicing SAFe
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python
- Active Cybersecurity Workforce (i.e. Security+) certification
- Active DoD Security Clearance
