As the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at Chromalloy, you'd be working with leadership to provide first class training to the manufacturing floor to ensure safety of all employees and compliance with EHS laws.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Support the implementation of EHS SOPs and Commitment to Safety Program.
  • Training, including the development of training materials and facilitation of training necessary to ensure facility compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable NDEP, OSHA, EPA, DHS, and DOT regulations as well as applicable local and state regulations.
  • Manage Site EMIS system and other EHS software programs.
  • Investigate all safety incidents, conduct root cause analysis', and drive corrective actions.
  • Manage all hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

Education:

  • BS or MS degree in engineering, chemistry, or environmental health and safety.
  • Professional certifications or a desire to work towards (PE, CSADP, CIH, CSP, CHMM, OHSAS, NEBOSCH, etc.)

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in progressive EHS roles in manufacturing and repair operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and execution of EHS strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in HAZWOPER and managing ongoing Hazardous Waste Programs.
  • Experience maintaining OSHA programs such as Hazard Communications, Personal Protective Equipment, Hazard Assessments, Confined Spaces and Electrical Safety.
