Position overview Position title: Neurological Surgery Research Faculty
Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $118,100 - $185,600. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

The University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine (https://medschool.ucsd.edu) and the Department of Neurological Surgery (https://neurosurgery.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is engaging in a nationwide search for senior researchers to further develop and expand our research portfolio, with a specific emphasis in the area of neuro-oncology computation and imaging analysis.

The selected candidates will be responsible for research, teaching and university/department service.

The appropriate appointment at Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. The series will include 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding or 100% Ladder Rank.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have a PhD in Mathematical Biology or related fields.

Preferred qualifications

Candidates with a robust research program within a neurosurgery department reflected by active multi-year federal awards are preferred.
