Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Prepare daily inspection reports and weekly statement of working days.
  • Single point of contact with the contractor.
  • Thoroughly reviews plans, specification, and field conditions. Documents the findings in a timely manner.
  • Review, and approve RFI and submittals.
  • Notifies/documents in a timely manner when corrective action is required or when work is rejected.
  • Informs supervisor at earliest possible time of any problems that cannot be routinely handled. Makes appropriate comments to the design PM team where inconsistencies and conflicts occur. Anticipates problems in advance of their occurrence and initiates actions necessary for resolution with proper documentation.
  • Negotiates change orders in a professional and timely manner. Completes review by the established due date.
  • Accurately measures contract quantities and processes progress payment requests promptly.
  • Review and check invoices and cash flow projection. Process invoices. Prepare dailies and Maintains project files.
  • Drafts and processes project close out Notice of Completion (NOC).
  • Drafts and processes construction field/changes orders.
  • Reviews/negotiate Contractor cost proposal and Field Order.
  • Prepare agenda for progress meetings and updates/documents project related documentation under project file.
  • Coordinate to schedule shutdowns, City forces work and walkthroughs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent technical area of study.
  • 15+ years of experience in management of construction, engineering, or equivalent technical projects.
  • Assumes the lead in project meetings, and supervises work of others to include documentation,
    administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses, and follow-up on actions items of all
    participants.
  • Oversees all activities of construction management of construction projects from Procurement phase,
    pre-construction, construction to final occupancy and close-out.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $140,000-$150,000.
