Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Robert H Smith School of Business, Office of Smith IT is seeking Student Help Desk Technician to provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students. The successful candidate will respond to inquiries/requests, diagnose and resolve technical problems, and provide support for computer systems, software applications, printing, and network connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries from faculty, staff, and students regarding computer hardware, software, printer, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to computer systems, software applications, printers, and network connectivity.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software applications.
- Provide support for the University and Smith School applications, hardware, networks, and printers.
- Provide training to faculty, staff, and students on using technology resources.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive information and data.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
- Familiarity with Windows and Apple operating systems
- Experience with network troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask
- Willingness to work flexible hours between 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday through Friday
