Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Our innovative Concierge Medicine Program located in La Jolla provides the most personalized and coordinated medical care using leading-edge medicine and state-of-the-art technology.

The Advanced Practice Provider will serve as an extension of the Concierge Medicine Physician to provide same day or next day access to patients. This provider will also be able to assist with direct patient care by assisting with follow up of lab results, prescriptions refills and coordination of referrals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program.

  • California Registered Nurse (RN) license, California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license, and Furnishing License Certification.

  • National NP board certification in aligned specialty with the practice area.

  • BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.

  • Minimum three (3) years of licensed work experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care, Urgent Care, and/or Concierge Medicine.

  • Proven knowledge of common diagnostic tests, exams, and procedures used in clinic. Must understand purpose, required supplies and/or equipment, how to perform procedure accurately, infection control, an accurate documentation of medical chart.

  • Ability to perform initial history, and physical examination, identify major medical problems, and formulate appropriate plans of action.

  • Ability to manage own patient load.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strong working relationships and communications with physicians in-charge, laboratory personnel, and members of the health care team.

  • Strong relationship building skills to interact with clients, referring physicians and their administrative staff.

  • Comfort with and willingness to facilitate the transfer of correspondence between patient and patient care team.

  • Ability to proactively determine and address needs of clientele.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous concierge medicine experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
  • Must be able to obtain UCSD Medical Staff privileges and maintain during employment. Due to advanced practice credentialing eligibility, clinical advanced practice work experience must be within the last two years.
  • Current UCSD NPIII employees may be hired at the NPIII level pending review and approval by Health Human Resources and the UCSD Advanced Practice Council.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $158,187 - $221,370 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $75.76 - $106.02

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
