Position Summary:
 
Position Description
This position’s primary purpose is to manage the internal curriculum process and the changes to the curriculum resulting from legislative updates and guidance; manage and serve as the primary point of contact for the online course catalog and curriculum management tool; coordinate the annual review and maintenance of the college’s catalog and advising guides; maintain the College’s electronic course and program files; maintain the College’s course data in the ERP (Workday) and serve as the institution’s liaison at the state level with SCNS. Manage campus and district-level contractual Tenure and Post-Tenure Review processes. Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration to uphold the highest standards of academic excellence and maintain vital curriculum records for accreditation agencies. The position provides support on an advanced level to the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, AA and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, AS.
 
Job Duties
1. Manage the internal curriculum process and the implementation of legislative changes to the curriculum. Responsibilities include: facilitate and attend meetings with faculty and administrators to discuss logistics and implementation of legislative changes; work directly with faculty to initiate and prepare proposals; communicate with discipline group chairs on curricular matters and required documentation; support the Technical Review and Academic Affairs Committees; review, edit and format AAC agenda and materials, including specialized documents; annual review of the AAC Handbook and maintenance of AAC forms ; serve as the primary point of contact for questions related to archived and current curriculum; manage the State Annual Institutional Review of our General Education Curriculum Report; facilitate the official approval from our Board of Trustees of AAC approved curriculum items; maintain college-wide official curriculum records; maintain the Academic Affairs, Academic Affairs Committee, and all Course Intended Outcomes on SharePoint; serve as a member of the General Education Committee.
2. Manage and serve as primary point of contact for the online course catalog and curriculum management software tools. Implement, configure, and manage a college-wide technology software solution for curriculum management, online catalog maintenance, and course scheduling. Drive the adoption of innovative tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in curriculum management processes.
3. Maintain all college curriculum course data in the ERP system and within the state SCNS database. Serve as the institution contact for SCNS. Maintain Department, Division and Dean assignments in the ERP. Work in concert with Student Services & Enrollment Management staff on all modifications to the degree audit, course files and other ERP system functions and other curriculum -related functions in the ERP. Serve as liaison for Academic Affairs to other departments including monthly ERP updates and modifications.
4. Manage the annual review, revision and maintenance of the College’s catalog including preparing a draft, requesting review and changes from the HCC community, coordinating the ADA compliance review, and the posting of the official version to the College’s website. Lead the revision and maintenance of our credit and PSAV academic programs’ webpages content.
5. Maintain and update the college-wide advising guides for Associate in Arts pathways, Associate in Sciences (Health Sciences/Technical Programs), College Credit Certificates, Postsecondary Adult Vocational programs, and the FUSE Pathways. Manage and update the Advising Guides posted to SharePoint. Facilitate ongoing communication with appropriate Academic Deans’ staff and Student Services & Enrollment Management staff regarding changes to the advising guides and academic programs as approved by the Academic Affairs Committee and the Board of Trustees.
6. Manage campus and district level tenure process, which includes identifying eligible candidates, organizing documentation, coordinating and participating in faculty workshops, tenure committee trainings, and tenure deliberation meetings. Maintain custody of portfolios and prepare Board of Trustees agenda items for official approval and letters to candidates. Serves as a primary point of contact for questions related to past and present tenure actions. Assist with the Post-Tenure Review process, which includes maintaining a master calendar of candidates, identifying yearly eligible candidates, and communicating with administrators and candidates.
7. Provide support to the Associate VP of Associate in Arts and the Associate VP of Associate in Science Programs, which includes but it is not limited to assisting with the coordination of the New Faculty Orientation and other specialized trainings, assist in the articulation agreement process, assist in the review of academic and operation manuals, conduct research, initiating or coordinating special projects and producing reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of prior-related work experience
 
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of technical fields and advanced-grant specific knowledge
