Logistics Analyst

Job Description

Sayres, a leader in defense support services to the DoD, is currently seeking a Logistics Analyst with a Secret Clearance in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

The Logistics Analyst will support a major Shipbuilding program for PMS 325/TA-O based in San Diego, CA and be responsible for the following:

This position will Provide integrated logistics support in management of frustrated material. Identify, quantify, and record condition and disposition of vendor-delivered ship construction material. Liaison between Navy/MSC government supply reps and shipyard managers to ensure efficient flow of material from storage/warehouse to shipyard laydown area to facilitate material flow required to support shipboard loadout and installation activities.

  1. Enhance product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
  2. Create and review procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.
  3. Demonstrate familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  4. Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  5. Perform a variety of tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Clearance Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in inventory management (receipt, stow, issue).
  2. Ability to work in an industrial environment.
  3. Ability to lift and move 25 pounds.
  4. Active Secret security clearance verifiable in DISS or the ability to obtain one.
