Job Description

The University Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Culinary Apprentice. The Culinary Apprentice program is in place for high school students who will serve in a temporary role to gain experience in the culinary industry and to further their education towards culinary career goals. The UEE division provides hospitality, event management, and service functions that support the University’s mission and various relationships. The Culinary Apprentice supports daily operations as part of the culinary production team. He/she is responsible for completing assignments related to food preparation, assembly, cooking, and sanitation through standards of service and hospitality.

Minimum Qualifications

High school students (16 years old – 18 years old)
Some kitchen experience required, ability to communicate and work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

ServSafe and Aller-Train required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire), ability to complete basic food handler course
