Under the direction of the Testing Manager, the Testing Administrator will be responsible for administering, observing, and monitoring testers during examinations in the Pearson VUE Testing Center.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree and 3 years testing experience.
  • Pearson VUE Certification

 

 
Essential Duties
  • Provide administrative support to all part-time testing specialists.
  • Provide support to Forsyth Tech faculty, staff, and students, as well as external entities.
  • Comply with all incident reporting and procedures.
  • Provide secure exam delivery and superior customer service in a comfortable, friendly environment.
  • Facilitate proctoring services through spoken and written correspondence.
  • Complete initializing paperwork/proctor agreement forms; receive, file, and ensure the accurate finalization of examinations.
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical testing records, including making scanned digital backup copies.
  • Maintain student and employee records confidentially under FERPA and federal/state guidelines.
  • Provide employee training sessions to advance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Obtain necessary certifications for testing administration (CLEP, Pearson VUE, TABE, WorkKeys, etc.)
  • Serve on committees as required.
  • Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Possess good interpersonal and organizational skills. Possess characteristics of responsibility, desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility. Knowledge of basic academic skills application and the ability to demonstrate the successful application of various academic skills. Ability to work independently, applying critical thinking skills and problem-solving to various situations. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all student information, material, and discussions shared in the tutoring relationship.

    Language Skills:
      • Read written communications and analyze and interpret both verbal and written communications.
      • Respond coherently both verbally and in writing to students, co-workers and individuals having contact with the College.
      • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
      • Present information effectively to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

     


  • Mathematical Skills:
    • Perform basic mathematical operations in problem solving.
    • Apply mathematical concepts such as exponent and permutation to such tasks as test reliability, frequency distribution, sampling theory and factor analysis.

  • Reasoning Ability:
    • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
