We have a great opportunity for a Natural Gas Project Manager to join our growing San Diego, CA office.

As our Project Manager you will utilize your extensive knowledge in natural gas pipeline to oversee the design and construction of infrastructure, transmission, and distribution projects. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a presence as the primary point of contact for the client project manager. You will work with a team to secure, manage, and deliver projects from new and existing clients.

Responsibilities
    Develop and manage scope, schedule, and budget of individual projects.
  • Work with a matrixed team to provide tasks and deliverables on time.
  • Provide clear direction of actionable tasks to all project stakeholders.
  • Monitor KPI's, critical path, risk management, etc.
  • Provide project analysis and metrics for individual projects.
  • Be the primary point of contact for internal peers and clients' internal work teams.
  • Manage construction, procurement, invoice preparation, and project documentation.
  • Continuously build and maintain a network of third-party consultants and vendors.
  • Lead project acquisition efforts including identifying opportunities and working collaboratively with the Marketing team in preparing bids and interviews for jobs.
  • Provide technical support and observation services during construction.
  • Develop and monitor project organizational and administrative systems.
Qualifications
  • BA or BS Degree Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Planning or other relevant field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as Assistant - PM or Project Management relative to public utility design and construction (gas distribution and/or transmission infrastructure). (Required)
  • 1+ years of experience in public utility design and construction, water/sewer infrastructure, or electric distribution overhead and underground infrastructure. (Preferred)
  • Experience with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Primavera P6 or other relative scheduling software.
  • PMP Certification. (Preferred)

The pay range for this California position is $80,000.00- $120,000.00 plus per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
