Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seekingSenior Training Specialistto join our team inSan Diego, CA

This role is integral to developing and delivering high-quality training solutions to both military and civilian participants. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Navy training programs and hold an active secret security clearance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Attend in-person meetings at both secure and non-secure military and civilian/industry facilities, locally and remotely.
  • Maintain accurate records of training solutions, fleet feedback, and personnel feedback to continually improve training effectiveness.
  • Develop and review training briefs, minutes, and plans, and propose training solutions for government review.
  • Coordinate and lead training meetings with NAVWAR and additional stakeholders in secure and non-secure environments; prepare and provide briefs for contractual and government review.
  • Conduct onsite initial and sustainment training at various sites, ensuring high engagement and knowledge transfer.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from training participants through surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one sessions to assess and improve training effectiveness.
  • Continuously review and update the training content to ensure relevance and value, integrating the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of training events, including audiovisual equipment setup, room layouts, and special requirements to ensure smooth execution.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of specialized experience in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Navy training curriculum, utilizing the NAVEDTRA series of instructions.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for creating engaging presentations.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and virtual training technologies.
  • Strong capability to assess training effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Strong facilitation skills to engage participants and stakeholders effectively.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, especially in preparing for and conducting training sessions and managing logistical aspects of training events.
Must Have
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Hold a 9502 or 805A Navy Instructor certification.
  • Proven ability to manage complex training projects and deliver results in a military or defense setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Nice To Have
  • Advanced degree in education, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Experience with modern educational technologies and multimedia training platforms.
