Job Responsibilities

2. Trains, supervises and recommends disciplinary action of subordinate personnel.
3. Assists in training of system users.
4. Generates manpower and workload studies.
5. Provides crime analysis to the Uniform Services Division, Criminal Investigations Division and Support Services Division to assist in solving of crimes.
6. Prepares uniform crime reports, chief's reports and other requested reports.
7. Develops new routines for existing programs.
8. Builds and maintains geographic file system and tables needed for the validation of data.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a related field.
2. Position requires two (2) years of analysis and research experience, or related work experience.
3. Position requires a current, valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
4. Must possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret computer applications, queries and output data.
5. Must possess the ability to plan, create, develop and prepare, interpret and analyze reports and technical data.
6. Must possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public and management.
7. Must be customer-service oriented, have a customer friendly attitude.
8. Must be able to work effectively under pressure and stringent schedules and produce accurate and satisfactory results.
9. Must be able to establish and obtain operating goals and objectives.
10. Must be able to communicate effectively, at all levels, both orally and in writing.
11. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Physical Requirements
2. Employee works regularly under desirable conditions with little or no disagreeable features. Work flow is normal.Tasks assignments are related. Interruptions and distractions are minimal or of little consequence.
3. Exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.
Additional Information
1. Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of the Senior Administrative Clerks (SAC) and supervises the activities of personnel as assigned.
2. Job is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
