This is a 1.0 FTE 9-month position with benefits. The position primarily involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in biostatistics along with carrying out departmental related duties/service. The successful candidate will bring expertise in any biostatistical subdiscipline. This position reports to the departmental chair and coordinates/supports teaching along with other departmental duties/service.

Education:
PhD in Biostatistics or related field.

Commitment to inclusive pedagogies and working with a diverse body of students in a mentoring role.

Responsibilities: Successful candidate for the position is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biostatistics at fundamental and intermediate levels, and mentor students. In addition to teaching, responsibilities may include developing new course syllabi; attending and participating in program planning meetings; participating in program assessment and evaluation; assisting with the revision of syllabi and curriculum revisions; and serving on departmental, school and campus committees. Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills are essential.

Able to take office and classroom tasks, ability to sit for extended hours, visual acuity to read data on reports and computer screens, ability to type on keyboard for extended periods.
