Scope of Position Scope of Position To provide educational support to students in the College for Life program.

Key Measurable Expectations

  • Assist classroom instructors in instruction and classroom management;
  • Participate in the implementation of goals and objectives of each student;
  • Provide individualized support services including, but not limited to reading, note taking, assistance with daily living skills;
  • Assistance with mobility;
  • Assistance with student participation in school sponsored activities;
  • Communicate with Coordinator about student issues;
  • Assist Coordinator with promoting the project and assigned students within the College and into the community.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D required, some college coursework preferredDemonstrated experience working with individuals with a disability from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Work Hours Other (specify) - M/T/W/Th, 9a-3p or less depending on the needs of the program schedule

Special Instructions to Applicants  

This position may be located at the N.O. Nelson campus in Edwardsville, IL. or at the Main campus located in Godfrey IL. At this time we are looking for someone to work during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays through the 2024 Fall semester. Continuation of this position is possible for the 2025 spring semester.
