Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The position is responsible for supporting students from the MS, MFin and MBA programs on all financial matters (billing, financial aid, etc) and will serve as the main student contact. This includes but is not limited to all MBA and Specialty Masters programs at the Smith School of Business. The position will assist in resolving issues and/or incorrect charges on student bills, assist with the FAFSA application process, assist with outside loan inquiries, serve in capacity of Smith as a representative for financial aid and billing processes and deliver presentations to prospective & current students, lead workshops, and information sessions. This position will act as the Financial Aid and Billing lead for the Masters Programs Office (MPO) and will act as the main liaison between the MPO and the Office of Student Financial Services & Cashiering and the Office of Student Financial Aid. The position will work directly with the Office of Student Financial Aid to improve efficiencies for the student financial aid experience and ensure all aid processes are correct each semester. In addition, the position will ensure billing processes are in kept up to date and student bills are accurate each semester. The position will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date information regarding tuition and fees and will conduct benchmarking to analyze financial trends across masters programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree
3 years professional experience
Mature judgment.
Proven ability to make effective use of time, plan ahead, and coordinate multiple projects.
Highly developed organizational and computer skills, with strict attention to detail.
Friendly, flexible, service-oriented manner.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with faculty, students and staff.
Proven ability in oral and written communications.
Ability to work in a highly independent manner at times across functions
Ability to work evenings and weekends for special events.


Additional Information:

The salary for this position is $30.00 per hour.
