GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Dual Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for the administrative functions and activities related to the College's dual enrollment program with high schools in our service area. This includes the enrollment, registration, advising and monitoring of high school students enrolled in college-level courses on campus, online, and at their respective high schools, including tracking the students enrolled in the Early College Program. This position plans and implements dual enrollment procedures to streamline processes, and interacts with high school staff and administrators, along with various college departments, and other community partners. Travel, evening and some weekend work required.

 

DUTIES:

  • Coordinates efforts with various campus departments to guide, assist, monitor, and ensure seamless scheduling, enrollment, registration, and continuous support for dual enrolled students in accordance with internal policies and in compliance with government rules and regulations.
  • Works with high school counselors on identification of eligible students, coordination of the course placement evaluation, advising services, orientations, registration, and support services.
  • Coordinates marketing material, recruitment, and outreach activities in collaboration with appropriate College personnel and partnering school administrators.
  • Promotes and encourages dual-enrolled students to enroll in college upon high school graduation.
  • Ensures all paperwork collected is complete and accurate.
  • Develops and makes presentations to high schools or other stakeholders in service area.
  • Ensures that agreements (MOUs) with partnering schools and districts are in accordance with College policies and applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Identifies and resolves operational problems, administrative issues, and other workflow matters raised by faculty, College administrators, high school administrators, and/or students in the program.
  • Monitors the status of dual enrollment numbers and overall program effectiveness.
  • Maintains effective communication and ensures timely response to inquiries from key stakeholders.
  • Monitors program participants' progress in college courses. Communicates progress with partnering school liaisons and connects students to campus and community resources as needed.
  • Assists in tracking of, and communication with, students enrolled in the Early College Program and refers to departmental resources as necessary.
  • Coordinates campus and community functions related to the dual enrollment program. Collaborates with the Director of Admission to market all high school student enrollment options.
  • Assists with Admissions events and activities as needed.
  • Coordinates concurrent class offerings at high school locations as well as enrollments for those offerings.
  • Assists in providing new high schools instructors' degree information to Vice President of Academic Affairs for vetting of HLC appropriate qualifications to teach subject matter.
  • Advises students on proper course selection to meet program requirements at North Central including all Early College students.
  • Assists students with the enrollment process, covering placement of student in English/Math to ensure enrollment in appropriate classes for the student, including Early College students.
  • Develops educational plans with students, working towards North Central completion and/or transfer plans (continued connection with transfer institutions), including Early College Students.
  • Develops overall concurrent class schedule for early college program (per individual high school), courses to be taken year one (1) through year four (4).
  • Develops semester and annual reports for the Dual Enrollment program, including reports for the individual Early College programs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 


Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required. (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of two years full-time experience in an educational environment required. (Background in K-12 and community college recruiting and advising preferred).
  • Positive human relations skills and experience in presenting to large groups; organizational and computer skills (particularly Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to research, write reports, analyze data, and write clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of community college philosophy and North Central Community college vision, mission, and values.
