HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Analyst Team at SDZWA plays a key role in the analysis and reporting of SDZWA's financial information, execution of the annual planning process, and provides overall support to our internal business partners. The Business Analyst Manager is integrally involved in financial planning, analysis and forecasting, including supporting strategic initiatives, multi-year planning, and return on investment evaluations. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Analysis.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Hire, train, lead, develop and coach staff, including monitoring and evaluating their performance and recommending and implementing personnel actions.
  • Assist in leading the Analyst Team in all business functions including planning, forecasting, reporting, development of processes, and financial analysis
  • Work closely with business partners across SDZWA to support financial analysis, including engagement on forecasts, reporting on actual performance and analyzing actual results vs. forecast/plan, and review of key metrics.
  • Lead development of the organization's annual and multi-year plans, including creation of templates and tools to support business partners.
  • Serve as a trusted and insightful resource to internal business partners, developing analysis and tools to support decision making and addressing ad-hoc analysis/requests as appropriate.
  • Develop recommendations based on sound quantitative and qualitative analysis that support and drive key business, strategic and investment decisions.
  • Provide valuable insight with a focus on meaningful and material data points to Executives and business partners.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • JOB EXPERIENCE
    • 2+ years of finance-related experience
    • 2+ years' experience in budget planning and development, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting
    • 2+ years' experience in analysis of all aspects of organization, including: Revenue, Operating Expense, Labor, Capital Expense, from both a GAAP accounting and cash flow basis
  • EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or similar field
  • SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
    • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
    • Expert in data analysis tools such as MS Excel; proficient in MS Word and MS PowerPoint
    • In depth knowledge of financial reporting systems and processes
    • Work within a team, take initiative and show strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage time sensitive projects
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines
    • Administer and maintain financial reporting systems
    • Foster reporting automation and process simplification, where possible, to streamline work and increase capacity
    • Develop business metrics and dashboards
    • Seek opportunities to enhance financial reporting and analysis develop new reporting tools for business partners

  • Salary Range: $94,800 - $104,820
