The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for the position of Cook 2 withinThree Leaf Catering. The UOES division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?
This position supports the daily operation of full service Three Leaf Catering events and Three Leaf Express within the Center of Culinary Excellence. The Cook 2 is responsible for prepping, grilling, steaming, baking, broiling, roasting and many other cooking methods. In addition, the Cook 2 is expected to prep and pack “grab and go” items which includes cheese trays, veggie trays, soups, salads, and sandwiches. The Cook 2 also participates in plate-ups, carving stations, and other customer-facing Three Leaf Catering event execution needs. As a cook within the University of Notre Dame, you will have the opportunity to support the mission and goals of a “Best in Class” food and service program. The University Operations, Events, and Safety division serves more than 15,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors in nearly 30 different eating establishments and a variety of guests daily. Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-4 years professional kitchen experience required
- Relevant skills and experience applicable
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to complete basic food handler course and to obtain Knife Handling certification and ServSafe certification
