This is a benefited, part time position working 8-rh shift with start times between 7:30-8am. You will work ~3 days/week and hours will vary as needed. Located primarily at Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley but required to travel to other sites as needed (Jefferson, Rancho Bernardo, and Encinitas).

What you'll do:
- Assist with casting and splinting while providing exceptional patient care.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Perform and assist with patient assessments and technical skills to accurately assess the status of each patient, including procedures as appropriate.
- Evaluate patients and document patient interaction.
- Practice infection control.
- Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- General working knowledge of casting and splint application and removal.
- Knowledge of universal precautions.
- Knowledge of sterile field maintenance and instrument sterility.
- Technical competency in casting skills, suture removal as measured by OTC; basic wound dressing application.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good English language skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to speak in person and on the telephone; read and follow instructions in English.
- Patient concern and sensitivity.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Current OTC certification required.
- Current BLS required
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Prefer one or more years of experience in an orthopedic office or related orthopedic office or related ortho field.
- Team player, flexible, willing to accommodate multiple different provider styles

Minimum Rate (USD): 30.58 - Maximum Rate (USD): 44.41
