Your Role
The Medical Care Programs team is responsible for managing vendor-delivered programs to manage care and deliver benefits for our members. The Program Manager, Principal will report to the Senior Manager, Medical Care Programs. In this role, you will manage transportation benefits for Blue Shield of California. You will be a member of a small team responsible for managing the vendor that provides transportation to members. You will be responsible for driving value, managing performance, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Health care or health plan experience preferred
- Program or vendor management experience preferred
- Transportation benefits experience desired
- Medi-Cal, Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) & regulatory knowledge and experience desired
- Finance acumen and medical claims experience desired
- Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and presentation skills
- Project Management certification desired
Pay Range
The pay range for this role is: $ 136400.00 to $ 204600.00 for California.

Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
