Job Summary

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Michigan Medical School is presently recruiting for a surgical faculty physician to join the Orthopaedic Hand Surgery team. Clinically, this team works closely with Plastic Surgery Hand Surgeons in a combined fellowship and hand center. Besides patient care, specific duties also include teaching medical students, house officers and fellows and conducting/participating in research. The ideal candidate will be Fellowship trained with an interest in resident and fellow education, as well as clinical research and scholarly activity and collaborative care with our plastic surgery colleagues. This position includes clinical work at both the Ann Arbor VA hospital and Michigan Medicine.

Required Qualifications*

Candidates should possess an M.D./D.O. and be board certified or eligible for certification; completed specialty fellowship training in hand surgery; hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan; demonstrate outstanding teaching and clinical care abilities; and have associated research interests.

Background Screening
