Job Description
Hope College invites applications for a tenure-track position in experimental physics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to begin in August 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally-funded research program in an area of experimental physics which includes undergraduate research students. Applications from all areas of experimental physics are welcome. Preference will be given to candidates that will engage in research in collaboration with the MoNA Collaboration and/or the SuN group at FRIB or that can engage students in ion beam work based around the department’s 1.7 MV tandem accelerator. The successful candidate should demonstrate a broad understanding of physics across the undergraduate curriculum, enabling them to teach all levels of physics courses and laboratories, from introductory first-year physics to fourth-year advanced physics courses.
