Job Description
The Dean of Business, Education, Healthcare and Public Service, directs instructional management functions and applicable operational aspects in each of the disciplines and programs. This includes promoting, enhancing and maintaining all functions and assignments, implementing policies and procedures that fulfill the philosophy, mission and goals of the college.
This position will provide leadership in several priority areas:

- Develop and manage annual budgets for the assigned divisions (including nursing/nursing assistant, EMT/paramedic, business, paralegal, culturally responsive peace officer, human services and education)
- Hire and evaluate faculty and staff in the divisions
- Support ongoing concurrent enrollment offerings
- Provide leadership related to accreditation of programs within the divisions
- Establish and maintain positive and effective communications necessary to the successful operation of the college
- Provide leadership in college planning efforts
- Facilitate campus implementation of system wide initiatives such as Equity by Design and Guided Leaning Pathways
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree
Type and Length of Experience:
- Five years of experience in academic leadership, health care leadership, project leadership in higher education, and/or college level teaching.
- Experience developing partnerships and building collaborative relationships.
- Experience with regulatory and accreditation processes. Experience developing and managing budgets.
- Experience with quality improvement.
- Experience with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Doctorate in a related field or in Education
Type and Length of Experience:
- Experience with program or learning assessment
- Experience administering union contracts
- Patient care experience in any allied health care area
- Experience with competency-based/accelerated adult programming
