Admissions Reader
Job Description
Johns Hopkins Carey Business School has multiple opportunities available for Admissions Reader to assist the enrollment team during the upcoming application season. The Reader will be responsible for written summation and evaluation of Master of Science and Master of Business Administration applications for admission during the reading season, which will begin in early November and continue through April. Must be available to attend virtual training via Zoom and one or two update Zoom meetings during the reading period.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Attend training sessions regarding the reading process.
- Read Admissions Applications online for MS and MBA programs.
- Write Summary and Evaluation of application.
- Participate fully in the application reading cycle.
- Participate in in the post-reading committee review.
Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to commit up to 20 hours/week.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with admissions staff members.
- Sensitivity to the needs of differing groups of students.
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of diverse populations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Some related experience with higher education.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $19.75 - $35.35 HRLY ($7,200 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
